Downers Grove North seniors Emma Moravec, Zoe Covey and Gina Kowalewicz competed at Peoria's Detweiller Park -- annual site of the state meet -- at the annual Peoria Notre Dame Richard Spring Invitational Saturday, Sept. 17.

The Trojans were 15th in the varsity race (499 points). Moravec earned a top-60 medal by finishing 45th (18:50.5 for 3.0 miles), followed by Covey (99th, 19:37.4), junior Claire Kovarik (122nd, 19:48.6), senior Emma Featherstone (127th, 19:52.4), Kowalewicz (143rd, 19:59.1), freshmen Ellie Gross (175th, 20:14.3) and Eva Bednard (188th, 20:22.1), junior Grace Puc (209th, 20:30.5), freshman Gianna Ferraro (260th, 20:58.1) and senior Hannah Thomas (314th, 21:32.4).

Several other team members competed in the open race, in which no official results or team scores were kept. Top-10 finishers received medals.
