Emma Moravec competes at 3A state meet

Congratulations to Downers Grove North junior Emma Moravec, who competed at her third Class 3A girls cross country state championships Saturday, Nov. 7, at Peoria’s Detweiller Park.
Moravec was 149th in 18:38 on the 3.0-mile course as an individual qualifier.
Moravec was 124th at state in 2014 (18:24) and 143rd in 2013 (18:59) with the Trojans’ back-to-back state team qualifiers.
This past week, Moravec was on her own training schedule but accompanied in workouts by senior Grace Maletich and junior Zoe Covey. They and seniors Angela Budach and Ashley Johnson came to Peoria to support Moravec.
