DGN Girls Ready to Roll at State Finals!

Our girls take off tomorrow morning for the baby blue track down at Eastern Illinois University for the State Finals. We competed hard at sectionals and were able to qualify 3 events (4x8, 800, 4x4) See headlines Below!

4x800 M. Relay

we ran a season best time of 9:20.86 for the win in a close race with Lockport. Qualifiers on the relay were Emma Moravec, Maci Schaub, Zayna Jan, & Stephanie Urbancik.

800 M. Run

After a 2:15 anchor split in the 4x8 Steph came back in the open 800 to run her best ever time in the open event at 2:17 to place third in a tough race. Both girls who beat her came in fresh.

4x400 M. Relay

We were ranked 1st coming into the event, but knew it would be tough as sectionals usually brings out the best in every team that steps to the line. Our girls ended up running 4:05 to place second. It wasn't our best time of the season, but we got the job done! Qualifiers on the relay were Emma Moravec, Zayna Jan, Stephanie Urbancik, and Hannah Henry.
