Lady Trojans Finish 2nd (Fr/So) & 3rd (V)with big Improvements

 The Lady Trojans finished 3rd on the varsity side past weekend while the fr/so placed 2nd, narrowly being edged out by Glenbard West 71-79. Many PRs and Season Best performances were on display as our track and field team continues to impress early on in the season.

 

Marek Improves Upon High Jump PR!

Congrats to Grace on improving her PR by jumping 5'1" and is now only 2 inches away from the outdoor state final qualifying mark!

 

Moravec breaks Fr/So. Indoor Record!

Congrats to Emma on breaking the fr/so. 3200 m record with an 11:53! She was also able to come back and show some speed with a 64 second split in the 4x4.

 

Santen Wins Varsity Shot Put!

The senior won by almost a foot with a throw of 31'9"!

 

Temple-Wood wins 200 and Long Jump for second Consecutive Meet!

Sophie sets impressive marks of 27.7 and 16'16" for her victories!

 

Reynolds Impresses in the Fr/So. Races!

Congrats to Eyonna on taking two W's in the 55 (7.8) and 200 (28.4)! The next closest person to her in the 200 was almost 2 seconds back.

 

What a day for Miss Henry!

Hannah showed off her mad skill by placing 4th in the 55 and anchoring the winning 4x400 M. relay with a personal best split of 64.4!

 

Food for Thought

 

-This meet was stacked in the distance races as DGN, Palatine , & GW all qualified last fall for the State Cross-Country Meet. The meet also featured 5 of the 25 all-state runners from the fall.

-It was a treat watching Madeline Perez run a 4:58 mile which currently ranks her 1st in the state and 20th in the U.S.

-An exciting thing we saw was our depth in the 400 with 6 girls at 65 or better among the our 2 relays!
