VIDEO INTERVIEW: Top Times Indoor Championships

The Downers Grove North girls track and field team brought four entries to the Illinois Prep Top Times Indoor Championships Saturday, March 23, at Illinois Wesleyan University’s Shirk Center in Bloomington.

The annual event has competition in all three classes with invitations given in order to the top performers this past indoor season. 

Top-eight performers in all events earn medals. Top-eight finishers in all events earn medals.

The Class 3A girls 800-meter relay of senior Kim Brent, sophomores Kenna Cinotte and Mia Bowers and junior Celeste Bonga was fifth in 1:46.98 fully-automatic time – just .08 shy of the indoor school record.

Brent also was 16th in the 200 (26.58) and 17th in the 60 (7.976 seconds) and junior Carolyn-Paige Breit was 14th in pole vault (10-0).
